Industry knowledge: E INK ACeP—color electronic paper display technology
 
EPD (Electronic Paper Display/Electronic Ink Display) used to be mostly associated with e-book readers. Today, it has changed - they are used in various fields such as consumer electronics and professional electronics. With the continuous improvement of display technology, electronic paper can display more colors, so the application scenarios are also constantly enriched.

Advanced Color Electronic Paper (ACeP)
In ACeP technology, each pixel contains four pigments, forming eight primary colors. Like other e-paper solutions, its functionality depends on the phenomenon of electrophoresis—the movement of dispersed particles relative to a fluid under the influence of a spatially uniform electric field. In ACeP, pigment microcapsules are suspended in a mixture of oil and water and move up and down in response to changes in voltage, creating the desired image.

E-paper displays have a lot to offer. An important advantage is their energy efficiency - they only require a small amount of energy (due to bistable technology) when the presented image changes. Plus, they don't need a backlight - under the right lighting conditions (also in sunlight), the content is fully readable. E-paper technology is often compared to traditional printing, and this is true to some extent because they have a lot in common (e.g., unlimited viewing angles). Additionally, e-paper displays are ultra-thin—some models are even less than 1mm thick.
