How does the E-paper dispaly voltage boost power supply circuit work?
Generally, SPI E-paper display voltage boost circuit is completed outside the IC. The principle is similar to traditional switching power supply,
mainly sending MOS tube switch signal through E-paper IC, When the MOS tube is turned on, the inductance coil stores electricity and the capacitor discharges;
When the MOS tube is disconnected, the capacitor is charged, and the capacitor charging and discharging is deployed to realize the voltage boost.

MOS tube selection:
We recommend that the MOS tube use Si1304BDL or Si1308EDL.
Some customers also asked us: Can the SI1308EDL N-MOS FET be replaced by the A03400?
Answer: Yes.

For the parameter selection of the inductor, we recommend the inductor to choose the winding inductor 10uH 1A.
A customer asked: Can the inductor 10uh 1a be replaced with SMD inductor 4.7UH, 1.5A?
Answer: This part cannot be changed.

Can voltage boost circuit automatically works if I only power on the e-paper display?
The E-paper boost circuit is turned on with a fixed register. The boost circuit can be boosted only when the microcontroller sends the open boost command to the E-paper IC.
Why is there no MOS tube in the 1.02-inch electronic paper display driver circuit?
The 1.02 inch e-paper display uses a booster circuit inside the IC, so no MOS tube is required. But capacitors around the chip are still necessary.
What are the possible reasons for the overheating of the MOS tube?
It may be that the diode was soldered in the wrong direction, so the MOS tube is short-circuited.
