(Summary description)Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Display is an unconventional display technology that retains the image on the display even when power is removed from the control panel. Its image is comparable to reading on paper, features include high contrast, wide viewing angles, high reflectivity and high readability in sunlight, in addition to the product's bistable characteristics and low power consumption. Cholesterol liquid crystals use materials that are similar in structure to cholesterol molecules, hence the name.
